CONDITION : Overall very good condition, the blade has 95 - 100% of its original blade length and width. Stampings remain crisp and clean. Carbon surfactants are present on the carbon steel, however none are deeply cratered or detract from the steels integrity. The blades thickness tapers as designed towards tip.
Blade tip is solid, sharp. Hardwood handle is solid and tight. Two sets of 3 turnings each add to its attractiveness.
The set of turnings farthest from blade tip, closest to the handles butt end pommel or bolster, you can see on the second picture, a small area where a gouge is present in the wood. The chipped or gouged out wood is not deep or unstable, told for full disclosure.
Leather sheath is solid, NOT dried out. Appearing to have received periodic leather conditioning.Stitching which runs the length of sheath is intact and stable, A belt loop or leather attachment is missing.
